Your international sailing school in Le Lavandou
35 years ago, Eric Roi created this sailing school on one of the best spots of the French Riviera. Our school is affiliated to the French Sailing Federation (FFV). Our passionated and graduated sailing instructors speak French and English but our teaching method perfectly fits any other language or nationalities.
Our International Sailing Club in Cavalière, in Le Lavandou, offers daily and weekly group or individual lessons but also rentals. We favor practice over theory, we are in constant search for efficiency, performance and of course security but the most important thing to us is to share the pleasure and enjoyment of sailing and being on the water.

MOUSSAILLONS
Those are the very first steps on a boat. The kids are all together on the same boat with the sailing instructor. Being under his surveillance and reach at all times (and of course equipped with a life-jacket), kids do not need to know how to swim to participate to this course.
We teach them how to steer, understand sailing terms and move on a boat with ease and security. The adventure starts as young as 5 year old.
5 to 7 years old.

OPTIMIST
The mythical and famous optimist dinghy is a sailing classical. Our teaching is very progressive with the objective to have children being able to steer their own boat, by themselves and under the thorough surveillance of their instructor by the middle of the week. We teach them how to turn, maintain and decide on their direction in security and with confidence.
7 to 9 years old.

CATAMARAN
HOBIE WAVE
A sensational and fast boat as well as very easy to use. The Hobie Wave is ideal to start catamaran.
Unlike on the optimist, kids are not alone in their boat, they are 2 to 4 per boat depending on the weather conditions.
At the same time as they learn how to sail, they enjoy being on the water and make friends.
8 years old onwards.

Hobie Cat 15
Your training goes further on the Hobie 15, a faster and more technical catamaran. Learning how to use the trapeze (like on the photo above), technical terms, tacks and jibes without losing speed... And of course, the pleasure of speed riding.
